Charity Involvement

Girl on Girl Comedy strives to be involved within and give back to the community.  Throughout the year, GoG hosts shows that raise money for various charities and organizations in the Nashville area.

Here are a few examples of how we have done this:

Our Special Xmas Spectacular

We collect toys each year to benefit the Nashville area children whom may not have a very special Christmas otherwise.  We collect new, unwrapped toys and donate them to the Metro Police Christmas Charities, who distributes them to disadvantaged area kids.

One Year Anniversary show!

A packed house with over 100 people present!  This was a great kick off to the new year and a wonderful anniversary surprise.  We raised money for Nashville PITTIE

Girl on Girl Comedy's New Years' Eve-Eve show!

It was standing room only at the New Years' Eve-Eve show.  GoG raised money for the Nashville Rescue Mission!

Girl on Girl Comedy's Black Friday show!

November's GoG was a smashing success raising money for the Nashville Mission and to the Vanderbilt Coalition for Healthy Aging, giving senior citizens here in town a Christmas that they otherwise would not have. We also had several toys donated for the Metro Police Christmas Basket Charity.

Girl on Girl Comedy presents: Doggie Style!

If you love to laugh, love music, and love pit bulls, this is the show for you!  It's comedy, music, and mayhem.  All to benefit Nashville Pittie, an organization that has provided FREE spay/neutering for over 150 dogs in Nashville.

The very first Doggie Style! show was on Cinco dog Mayo, May 5, 2011.  All proceeds went to Nashville Pittie. There was a silent auction with great prizes from Lone Wolf Tattoo, the 10th annual Nashville Full Moon Tattoo & Horror Festival, the Redneck Comedy Tour, Girl on Girl Comedy, Goo Goo Clusters, and many more. Local artist Stevn Dutton displayed and sold his "Pit bull art" with a portion of the proceeds going to Nashville Pittie.

Nashville PITTIE is an advocacy group built on the principle of education through compassion. PITTIE stands for “Pit Bull Initiative to Transform Image and Educate”. The goal of Nashville PITTIE is to restore the Pit Bull’s positive image by: dispelling myths surrounding the breeds called “Pit Bulls” through education, promoting responsible ownership, and promoting spay/neuter programs and the importance thereof.
